Bars and Shakes

Recently I was introduced to “the power of fermentation”. What a difference! It’s not just a slogan. While the aim of these Genuine Health vegan products is to provide highly absorbable nourishment, the result for me was that my snack craving was satisfied not just in my palate, but also in my energy level.

I am told that fermentation amplifies plant-based nutrients, and converts natural inhibitors to support healthy bacteria for easier absorption. Ok, but how does it taste?

fvp_bars_horiz Monday: Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar. Tuesday: Lemon Coconut Bar. Wednesday: Dark Chocolate Almond Bar. Each bar contains 15 grams of vegan protein, and flavour that I really like. They’re filling, and not grainy or chalky. I took a time-out to enjoy each one, and afterwards I was doing wrist curls with my laptop.

Thursday and Friday: the Vegan Protein shakes. I’m not a vegan, but I know what’s good for me. There’s no sugar, no soy, no GMO’s, it’s gluten free, with lots of iron, 20 grams of protein, and easily digestible amino acids. The Natural Vanilla shake has such fvp-bottle-web273 a sweet fragrant aroma that was as delicious as it was aromatherapy. The Natural Chocolate, too, did not taste or smell artificial. I had to double-check the ingredients to make sure that it really was healthy. I enjoyed my drink; I didn’t need a coffee; and I felt perked-up and productive for the remainder of the afternoon.

So, that was last week. It was a good week. I was on a good track. Now, for my own genuine health, I need more.
