Valentine’s Day: Dine

Romantic and delicious options abound this Valentine’s Day. Toronto restaurants are offering menus to excite and delight. Here are some tantalizing Toronto dining options for Valentine’s Day (click each pic to enlarge):

On Valentine’s Day at Allen’s, friends and lovers eat steak!! This highly anticipated annual festival features hand-cut-to-order steaks, organically raised, hormone-free, identified by breed, farm, feed and age, from Angus, Limousin, Piemontese, Highland, Hereford, Wagyu, Belgian Blue, and John Maxwell’s own Dexter Cattle together with the most extensive all-VQA wine list in Toronto, as well as 300 different whiskeys and 140 beers.

Ba Ba Luu, a DINE favourite for sizzle and salsa. Dance or enjoy watching the whirling and twirling. Spinach and wild mushrooms-stuffed roasted chicken roulade with passion fruit glaze; or mixed seafood platter for two of grilled calamari in basil olive oil emulsion, mussels, clams, garlic shrimp and grilled octopus with pesto oil, served with crunchy corn chips. And for the sweet tooth…how about guava crème brulee?

Blu Ristorante, exudes a romantic warmth with its soft jazz music, airy curtains, spacious faux-stone walls, grand mirrors and white tablecloths. Make sure you take your sweetheart out for a special evening at Blu! Located across from the new Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, it is a dining hot spot to rediscover. Crush Wine Bar has always been a restaurant with a great wine bar; a place to have fun while experimenting with wine. Its exposed brick walls are adorned with French wine posters. EDO‘s Chef Ryo Ozawa is a virtuoso, and his artful creations reflect the technique and imagination that make dining at EDO a unique experience. From Feb 14 – 17 a special multi-course menu displays an array of Japanese ingredients and flavours that will leave you saying arigatou all the way home. 417 Restaurant & Lounge‘s colourful design elements are chic and inviting. Cocktails and Ontario Craft Beer flow. Oysters to share; heart-shaped ricotta ravioli; beef tenderloin and purple potatoes; halibut and shrimp with lemon mash; and “his and hers” desserts of chocolate, cognac cheesecake, and red velvet cake with butter cream icing. Pure bliss.
