Two years ago, DINE had the pleasure of visiting Rutini Wines in Mendoza, Argentina, where we were introduced to wines as rich in texture as in their heritage. At the time we wrote that “strolling through the Rutini Wines vineyards is like going back in time to its 1885 founding. Their wine museum of relics is, in itself, worth a visit. The Malbec has velvety aplomb and complexity; the Chardonnay is balanced, clean and fruity, not oaky; and the Trumpeter Torrontés has a perfectly balanced nose and smooth mouth feel”.
Today Rutini Wines is announcing the launch of a new vision. Ariel Menniti, former Marketing Manager at Wines of Argetnina, is being welcomed as Rutini’s new Brand Manager in the US & Canada; and Mauro Colagreco, internationally and renowned Argentine chef who, in 2008, became the first non-French citizen to win “Chef of the Year” in France, is now Rutini Wines’ Chef Ambassador.
As the permanent representative of Rutini Wines in North America, Ariel will work closely with importers, trade and press media in the planning, relationship-building, organization, merchandising, promotion and business development avenues among other responsibilities. Chef Mauro will be traveling the world throughout 2012, sharing his exquisite cooking talent with the world’s top chefs and restaurants, while exclusively presenting wines from Rutini Wines.
