SARA SAYS…
Rosewater has always been a highly original restaurant and the grace of the historic building is matched by the excellence of the kitchen. The cuisine is contemporary. They know what people want and re-define classic dishes to meet the food style of the day. With subtle redecorating, the dining room has never looked better. Business executives favour the glassed-in private dining rooms on the mezzanine, and appreciate the professional servers. A large private reception room on the top floor is wonderful for art shows or larger events. For a girls’ or guys’ night out, the lounge in the front is the place to be and the dining room is perfect for a romantic dinner for two. It is still all things to all people.
The restaurant keeps pace with the seasons and quality of product is always at the fore. Servers understand dietary restrictions; they offer sauces and dressings on the side and never make a fuss if a minor substitute is requested. “The kitchen is here for you,” they say. Portions are generous, in particular, the crisp shrimp appetizer, and interesting salads that open the palate for substantial mains of steak and fresh fish, all presented with the chef’s personal signature. Note Rosewater in your personal dining diary.
