Inniskillin’s Winemaker’s Series and CORE SERIES are available at the LCBO, and include:

2011 Pinot Noir Rose: A popular spring/summer wine with a hint of sweetness. Easy drinking, and versatile with pairings of fresh, flavourful foods.The pink colour comes from cold soaking for 24 hours before pressing off the skins, followed by 15 days of fermenting at an average temperature of 15C in stainless steel.

2010 Cabernet Franc: Grapes blended from a variety of vineyards throughout the Niagara Peninsula are inoculated with a select strain of yeast. After eight days of fermentation, deep colours and firm tannins are extracted. French and American Oak contact for another eight months enables a more balanced and elegant palate.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) has announced its plans to bring the very best of Toronto’s culinary talent and restaurant scene to Toronto Pearson International Airport. Canada’s biggest airport, Toronto Pearson, handled 33.4 million passengers and is ranked 4th largest in international passenger traffic in North America. For some it is their first or their last impression of Toronto, and until now what impression has been made of our dining?

Fukuoka, Japan, 1977: confectionary company, Ishimura Manseido, began marketing an answer to Valentine’s Day. The original idea was that on March 14th, one month after receiving a Valentine’s gift from a woman, a man should requite the gesture by giving marshmallows. Within one year Marshmallow Day was scratched as a great idea with limited appeal, but in 1978 the National Confectionery Industry Association established a new and improved version: White Day.
