“The Feast Concierge“, Karma Brophy, hosted Sara Waxman on a gastronomic tour through the lovely seaside village of Oak Bay on Vancouver Island. This community has its own culinary character and edible treasures, and what a feast it was!
At Oak Bay Marina Restaurant we brought the crab up from its cage at the dock and handed it over to Chef Jeff Keenliside who cooked it in a pail with some mollusks, then dumped the whole thing on a brown papered table. We all had our own mallet, crackers and appetites ready for the “crab smash” seafood experience.
