Overview The Stratford Festival is renowned throughout the world, but this season has become even more exciting and more inclusive. Check out this season’s plays and musicals. Forget about driving; take the new Stratford Direct private bus from Toronto/return with twice-daily pick-up and drop-off at each of the theatres for only $10 each way! Also new: The Forum of panels, debates, symposia, exhibitions, and Food For Thought–a buffet lunch series followed by a talk on one of this season’s plays or musicals.

Art in the Park is an unassuming exhibition of local artists that enrich and colourize a stroll along the Avon river. Mingling with artisans while admiring their crafts, in the most easy, friendly atmosphere one could hope for. This juried gathering weaves through the park by the swans and the river below The Festival every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday during the summer. (watch the video):

stratford_adfinal Summer Music Festival: All the world is indeed a stage, as over 100 events featuring over 350 diverse artists, local and international, perform inside and outside, in historic churches and on the river. What could be more romantic than a stroll through the park while being serenaded by musicians floating on a barge? If YOU love to sing, why not join the Symposium Choir for the weekend? garlic The Stratford Garlic Festival highlights 26 different varietals of garlic in ways that you just have to see and taste to believe, including: sauces, ice creams, and teas; with speakers, entertainment, demonstrations, recipes, lotions and potions. Why Stratford? The heavy clay-based soil in Perth County is rich with the nutrients required to grow the best quality garlic in the world, particularly the exceptional nutritional value and flavour of Music garlic.

savour Savour Stratford is a celebration of harvest, farmers, chefs and artisans. An outdoor farmer’s market, musicians and artists lines the Avon River; while buskers and barbeques fill the streets. There are free concerts in the park, foodie activities for kids, tutored tastings, workshops, celebrity chef demonstrations and cooking classes. The main food and wine event is the adjudicated pairing of local chefs and farmers in the market square–one of the most popular culinary events in Ontario.
