2008 Riesling Icewine
Harvested the last week of December 2008 and into early January at minus 10 C, the good acidity brings out the elegance of tropical aromas and flavours of lemon and lime. Great with lemon based desserts or fresh fruit; rich cheeses; and the rich textures of scallops and lobster!! According to Bruce Nicholson, Inniskillin’s star winemaker, this is the best Riesling Icewine he has ever made. Apparently, others agree:
–International Wine and Spirits Competition, London UK-OUTSTANDING GOLD
–San Francisco International Wine Championships-GOLD
–Selections Mondials des Vins Canada-GOLD
–Ontario Wine Awards-WINE OF THE YEAR and GOLD
–Lieutenant Governor’s Award of Excellence for Ontario Wine
2011 Sparkling Vidal Icewine
There is no other wine that is more quintessentially and proudly Canadian than Inniskillin’s Sparkling Vidal Icewine. This is DINE’s celebratory wine of choice; and there is no more impressive way to greet our guests than with a glass of this unique, award winning, Sparkling Vidal Icewine which has been a great sensation since it was first released for Millenium celebrations with the 1998 vintage. The bubbles offer a surprisingly “drier” sensation to the Icewine.
Harvested the first week of January 2012, and produced in the charmat method at an average temperature of 17 C, its exotic fruit aromatics and flavours are balanced by a crisp acidity and lively effervescence. It is the most versatile Icewine with food pairing: oysters, spicy dishes, seafood and rich cheeses.
